A Scania R500 hook-lift truck looking for a new home after agricultural use.


The vehicle is originally from Switzerland, well equipped and a very tidy example. It has been in light agricultural use with us for the last 9 years.


The truck is a four-axle vehicle with hub reduction drive. It has a large, solid Multilift hook-lift system with an underbody fold as well. I think the capacity is 26 tonnes, but I’m not sure; in any case it has never given up under load.

Defects and other observations

A new turbo was fitted in the autumn, along with some other minor repairs last autumn. Urea equipment was also fitted last autumn, but it is now in a fault mode and the warning light is on. The engine warning light started coming on this summer and at minimum it needs a reset. The engine temperature sensor is intermittent and sometimes shows zero.
