Description of the item: 

Here is a lightly used, original-condition Thundercat for the next motorcyclist! It has been with a summer owner who has maintained the bike and checked that it runs well. A comprehensive list of the work done is below.

After a test ride, everything was found to be working. The gears engage properly, the engine revs well, the suspension and steering feel good, and the brakes work. The clutch is adjusted so that it engages only very close to the bottom.

Front tyre good, rear tyre ok. Chain and sprockets ok.

Very well cared for for its age!

STATEMENT FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER ABOUT THE BIKE:

I bought it in August 2025.

- The odometer reading was a little over 18,000 km.

- The engine was running too rich and the front brake hose was leaking.

According to the previous owner, the following work was done in winter 2024–2025:

- carburettors ultrasonically cleaned

- carburettor intake boots replaced

- battery replaced

- oil and filter changed

Work done during my ownership:

- in August 2025, carburettor needles replaced with original Tcat parts (running issues

were resolved)

- air filter checked at the same time (clean)

- carburettors were clean, so the ultrasonic cleaning is likely correct

- front brake hoses replaced with braided steel hoses

- in September 2025, fuel pump replaced with a new one due to a leak and idle speed

adjusted

- at the same time, the fuel hoses were replaced, except for the short U-shaped piece

between the filter and the tap

- in November 2025, fuel tap replaced with a used spare part because the tap let

petrol through even when turned off

- in November 2025, engine oil + filter changed (oil looked good) (Castrol Power 1 10W-40)

- in November 2025, coolant changed (green Polaric) + cooling system flushed

(old coolant looked good)

- in November 2025, rear brake pads replaced

- in March 2026, spark plugs replaced

- in March 2026, minor hidden damage on the fairing repaired (cracks under the belly fairing

and a broken left mounting lug)

- in March 2026, loose front indicators repaired

- in May 2026, front brake light switch replaced with a new one

- the chain has been lubricated about every 300 km

Known faults etc.:

- the front forks started to sweat during summer 2026

- the bulb in the lower left corner of the speedometer has blown

- the minor fairing damage mentioned above

Driving impressions and tips:

- I have now ridden the Tcat more than 6,000 km (incl. approx. 24,500 km on the odometer). The engine runs really smoothly.

Idle is steady and the engine pulls willingly in all gears.

- This is a rev-happy engine: even after 10,000 rpm there is a strong power surge.

- The gears work well, and the clutch does not slip.

- No oil has needed topping up. It is worth filling the oil to the upper mark. Otherwise the oil warning light may flicker under hard acceleration when the oil moves to the back of the sump.

- Use the choke carefully. It easily fouls the spark plugs. I have only used it in the coldest weather and very sparingly.

- It starts well as long as you remember that this is a carburetted machine: it needs a slight twist of the throttle when starting.

- Under brisk riding, the engine uses a little over 6 litres per 100 km. You can safely ride well over 200 km on one tank. The fuel light has come on once for me, so it works.

- On the road, the temperature stays at 60 °C. In city riding in summer heat it has once gone close to 100 °C, but the fan still did not kick in.
