This Bora has moderate mileage and a good service history. Rust has remained largely away from this example. The wheel arches and sills are in exceptionally good condition. The only visible rust spots are on the edge of the front wheel arch on the driver’s and passenger’s side. The car has not been on a lift, so the condition of the underside is unknown.

• Timing belt + water pump done at 202,000 km / 2019. Cylinder head refurbished at 180,000 km, wheel alignment just adjusted.

Issues:

• Engine warning light. Codes read: P0402 (EGR A Flow Excessive Detected) and P0135 (O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1). The first points to carbon build-up in the EGR, the second to the lambda sensor before the catalytic converter. Both are features you might expect in a car of this age. Codes were cleared and the warning light did not come back during a short test drive. The warning light may, and probably will, come back on.

• The previous buyer had the car stall while driving, related to that fault, and has not dared to drive it on a longer trip. Collection by truck is recommended.

• The paintwork has seen better days. The clear coat has lost its shine, so it is not ready for a car show.

• Touch-up paint spots/other marks around the car, visible in the photos.

• Driver’s door electric window switch panel/door handle is loose.
