An All-Season tyre is a summer tyre with a touch of winter-tyre characteristics. It is not a full winter tyre for a severe Finnish winter, but many models still carry the 3PMSF marking required for winter use. Unlike winter tyres, an all-season tyre also withstands summer heat without softening. They cope with central European winters — so there is grip in late-spring cold snaps, Midsummer sleet and the first cool autumn nights. Our fitter has tested these on gravel roads and found the grip excellent. For those living in the countryside these are a great option! The All-Season tyre's tread pattern is less sensitive to sharp stones than a conventional summer tyre with straight grooves. However, they won't protect against the sharpest crushed rock — be cautious near construction sites, gravel pits and unpaved roads.
