BMW 518i E34 1990

For sale: BMW E34 518i. The car has been with me for about 1.5 years as a second car, during which it has been driven approximately 5,000 km. The odometer reading is 208,000 km.

The car has passed inspection and the inspection is valid until February 2027.

Service history

During my ownership the following work has been carried out:

• Timing set replaced February 2025

• Engine oil and oil filter changed February 2025

• Spark plugs replaced February 2025

• Mass air flow sensor replaced

• Distributor cap replaced

• Alternator voltage regulator replaced

• Battery replaced

Equipment and modifications

• MTS Technik lowering springs

• TÜV papers for the lowering springs available

• The car has been inspected with the current suspension, but the registration document does not show the suspension modification.

• BMW E46 front seats fitted by the previous owner.

Condition

The car is tidy for its age but shows signs of use.

• Some paint has been polished through in places.

• There are small spots of surface rust on the body.

• The repair notice from the last inspection regarding rust in the left rear wheel arch has been repaired by welding.

Please note

• The exhaust rattles slightly and may leak a little at a seam. This was not noted at inspection.

• The tachometer works intermittently.

• The alternator belt squeaks occasionally on start-up.

• The engine occasionally runs slightly unevenly at idle. I suspect a taped intake hose between the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body may be the cause, but I have not investigated further. The car has, however, always started.

The car has been driven only occasionally and has performed reliably during my ownership.
