The Adwasys 370RO-UV makes fresh water potable without chemicals. This powerful unit can produce up to 370 litres of clean water per day. The six-stage process removes up to 99.99% of impurities, viruses and bacteria. The package includes fittings, filters, a water tank and a drinking-water tap.

The reverse osmosis system uses a series of pre- and post-filters and a reverse osmosis membrane that only pure water molecules can pass through. The final stage is a Phillips UV lamp that sterilises viruses and bacteria.

The unit features automatic flushing and requires minimal maintenance other than filter changes and any storage/recommissioning steps. The system fills a pressurised 11-litre tank, from which water is immediately available.

Six-stage purification process:

1. STEP 1: Pre-filtration

• 5 µm polypropylene sediment filter removes particulates such as pollen and fine sand

• Protects downstream filters

2. STEP 2: Granular activated carbon (GAC)

• Effective granular activated carbon removes chlorine, taste and odour

3. STEP 3: Activated carbon (compressed)

• 1 µm compressed activated carbon filter refines water quality by enhancing earlier filters, removing heavy metals, humic substances and organics

• Further removes taste and odour

4. STEP 4: Reverse osmosis membrane

• 0.1 µm osmosis membrane cartridge (Vontron) 100GPD

• The actual purification occurs by forcing water through the membrane

5. STEP 5: Mineralisation

• The mineral filter in the final stage restores neutral pH and refreshes the taste by adding small amounts of calcium and magnesium.

6. STEP 6: UV sterilisation

• Removes all organic matter and ensures water is safe to drink
