Desirable first-generation Honda VT 1100 Shadow, registered as a historic vehicle. Year 1985 and the bike has been ridden only approx. 61,150 km (originally 38,000 miles). New tyres and recently serviced, no defects. Insurance €40/year. A torquey large 1100 cc V-twin that is very pleasant to ride. I have owned it for the last 7 years as a sunny-summer-days hobby bike. The 1985 Honda VT1100 Shadow represents Honda’s first 1100cc Shadow model, combining classic cruiser styling with then-advanced engineering. It has a 1099 cm³ liquid-cooled V2 engine, shaft drive and Honda’s characteristic refined rideability and reliability. With strong low-end torque, smooth running and a low-maintenance final drive, the VT1100 is great for relaxed touring as well as longer trips.

The 1985 model is particularly interesting to enthusiasts, as it is the first year of the Shadow 1100 series. The first-generation VT1100 differs from later versions in having a more powerful engine and several original structural features. The model holds an important place in Honda’s custom range history, and original or carefully preserved examples are now valued hobby bikes that appeal to riders and collectors alike.
