Defects and other observations

Faults: Occasionally shows fault codes ECM 1517 and BCM 0101; the latter displays a warning that the stability control requires service. It then reduces power in 3rd–4th gears, but the car is still driveable with the fault. When the car is turned off the fault disappears for a while. I have cleared the codes with a reader and then it can run for several weeks. 1517 would point to turbo/boost pressure, but after a turbo replacement I suspect soot/EGR may be blocked.


Timing belt replacement would also be due.


The car is therefore roadworthy and has MOT until April 2027, but requires maintenance.


These faults are known and there may also be latent defects, so bidders are asked to inspect the vehicle.
