Gradually run-in Volvo V60 with a robust D3 engine and Volvo's own Geartronic automatic transmission. It has served us faultlessly for just under 40,000 km.

We are reluctantly parting with it as our circumstances have changed so we no longer need two cars and the mileage is now so low that paying diesel tax is not worthwhile.

So it doesn't sound too good to be true, here is a list of negatives that naturally accumulate on a car driven this much


  • Summer tyres in poor condition

  • Small marks on the body here and there, nothing major. Noteworthy are the small rust spots on the left side, visible in the photos.

  • The small battery for the start-stop system should be replaced. I haven't done it, as I consider it a minor benefit that that unnecessary feature does not work.

  • Slight tear in the driver's seat fabric

  • Recently a faint "whine" has been heard from the left rear (?). Very subtle, but becomes more noticeable on cobbles or gravel roads. I have not investigated it.
