Mitsubishi Pajero, 1992, Huittinen

Here’s a good auction piece: Pajero Super Select 4WD.

The drivetrain works very well — both low and high range four-wheel drive and the locks (centre and rear) work quietly.

It pulls very well and has plenty of power. It appears to have been modified and the turbo(s) may have been increased.

Heavy-duty winch on the nose with remote control; I don't know its exact pull rating but it pulls a lot.

Body and chassis in good condition; one driveshaft boot should be replaced.

Rocker panels welded from RHS beam. Otherwise the body has small rust spots and dents here and there.

The tyres have very little use as seen in the recent photos; only the tyres shown are included in the sale — there are no other tyres and I have driven these all year round.

There are lights all around the vehicle; the side markers and rear auxiliary light are a bit weak.

Top-end/head gasket work done a few years ago.

Starter and alternator replaced within the last few years. The battery should be renewed — it is old but still works.

Engine oil is leaking slightly from somewhere.

The exhaust leaks a little.

Fuel drips also if you fill the tank completely, apparently from a fuel line feed-through.

The fuel gauge hasn't worked for years; otherwise the instrument cluster operates normally.

Odometer reading is uncertain because inspection history shows the car has at some point been driven over 500,000 km. Has the cluster been changed or tampered with? Perhaps it doesn't matter — it runs well.
