Toyota Hiace 4WD – Not a showpiece, but a legend seeking a new owner

Now available something you don't see every day – a genuine four-wheel-drive Toyota Hiace that has served faithfully on building sites since 2012. It has been with us since 2015.

This is not the example kept in a warm garage and polished every Sunday. This has been used for real work, and it shows. Every ding tells a story, and there are plenty of them.

Pros:

• ✔ Sought-after four-wheel-drive Hiace.

• One of the rear side doors is broken. Or the door itself is fine, but the panel where the door roller runs has rusted through.

• The rear window is broken. Currently taped so it stays in place

• The whole tailgate is in need of replacement

• Rust present – unlikely to surprise anyone looking for a Hiace. Passed inspection, so I believe the floorpan is sound.

• Worksite scars visible all over the van and they have not been hidden.

• Driver's seat damaged. Probably not surprising

• The steering wheel has been compressed too much; the covering is torn

If you are seeking a flawless show van, this is not for you.

But if you have said aloud:
"I'd like to own a Hiace one day" or "every man should have a Hiace"
...then here is your chance.

With a little effort this will be a faithful workhorse for years again. And even if you do nothing, it still looks like a Hiace should – used and work-worn.
