What?

Mercedes-Benz E‑class estate S211 220CDI with OM646.961 engine, 6‑speed 716.649 manual gearbox, 2.87 final drive, rear‑wheel drive and Elegance trim. VIN WDB2112061A829147

Originally sold new to Belgium as a company car, later imported to Finland via Germany and a dealer. First registered in Finland on 11 October 2016. I am the second private owner in Finland. Mainly used for commuting/daily driving — roughly 20,000 km per year.

Service history

Serviced extensively over the years at 15,000–20,000 km intervals according to the service schedule, with a few urgent exceptions, mostly at the authorised dealer Mega‑Auto in Lahti.

Receipts in a folder and I have kept all service receipts from my ownership except tyre receipts.

This is starting to sound too good to be true. BACK TO EARTH — below is the Faults and repair needs section

• MOT valid until 28 July 2026.

• During the previous ownership the DPF was removed, so the vehicle is not road‑worthy. No information on other emission manipulations.

• Left rear wheel arch is full of filler. The car was clearly in an accident before I bought it and repaired somewhat roughly.

• Park sensors work on a good day, usually not.

• Some dashboard backlights are out here and there.

• Minor dents, scratches, stone chips, paint defects and beginning surface rust/paint bubbling around the body — photos show the essentials.

• Tailgate hinge bent so the tailgate rubs the body on the right side a little; it still opens normally.

• Tailgate handle sticky.

• Car has been lowered; front lowered at least 7 mm by removing the plastic spacers from the struts (kept), and the aftermarket front springs I fitted are probably too short so the tyres rub the inner arch on full lock. Rear air suspension is likely programmed lower as tracking could not be corrected. Previous owner wanted Avantgarde suspension but chose a different solution due to price and delivery times.

• One wire in the rear window heater is broken, so demisting did not work in winter.

• Rear wiper motor broken.

• Air conditioning does not work.

• The “German‑engineer” drink holder does not work properly — spring is worn, pull‑pin glued in to make it open.

• B‑pillar trim torn where the rear passenger rubs when getting in.

• Gear lever knob trim and leather torn.

• Front seat air system leaks.

• Interior dimming feature has not worked during my ownership.

• Front bumper split in the middle at the very bottom. Only noticeable when looking under the car. Mercedes 1, rabbit 0.

• Only one plastic key and one metal key; metal key retention in the storage slot is loose so the metal key keeps falling out.

• Right front parking light out. Annoying spot, not motivated to fix.

• Right number plate light out.

• Washer system fault: even when the reservoir is full it reports empty the next day.

• Car struggles to warm up in very cold weather. Driven with cardboard in front and the Eberspächer heater on at motorway speeds and it barely reaches 80°C at −20°C outside.

• The car currently has winter studless tyres fitted. Summer tyres included.

• Eberspächer remote's range is poor — only works right next to the car.

• Headlights are nearing the point where they need polishing.

The vehicle must be collected by 30 August 2026 at the latest. From 28 July 2026 the car will be available for collection in Hollola, after which it will be moved under cover in Nastola awaiting pickup.
