  • The car makes loud knocks when driven; suspected fault in the drive shaft

  • The engine runs well and gears change smoothly

  • The driver’s window does not close properly; other windows operate correctly

  • The valve cover is leaking oil

  • Crack in the driver’s indicator lens

  • The air conditioning compressor is noisy — see the fault diagnosis image
