For a mechanic to work on. Requires an engine replacement. The underside and body panels are in acceptable condition; both tyres are good.

Service history partly electronic; since then individual garages have done oil changes, and by phone one garage reported that the shift module, circuit board and gearbox oil were replaced. We will provide at least the oil change documents with the vehicle.

The EGR cooler has likely failed and pushed coolant into the combustion chamber, causing the engine to seize. An attempt was made to turn the crankshaft from the end, but it will not turn.


A good-bodied vehicle for a mechanic, now requiring considerable attention.

Defects and other observations

The vehicle ran well technically on the test drive when it arrived to us in part-exchange. The EGR cooler has likely failed, pushing coolant into the combustion chamber, which has seized the connecting rods and the engine is now stuck. The engine has not been disassembled, but it does not turn from the crankshaft end.
