Thermal treatment significantly improves resistance to rot and makes the timber dimensionally stable, so decking boards, fences and slats retain their original, straight shape.

Thermowood is suitable for all climates, requires little maintenance and does not need surface treatment. Thermowood will grey attractively under UV light if not treated with a UV-protective pigmented oil or similar. Only heat and steam are used in its production, so it is completely non-toxic
