The car stalled while driving and would not restart. It has been towed to a workshop where a fault diagnosis was carried out.

Workshop findings

According to the inspection by Auto ja Kone Eskelinen Oy on 27 April 2026:

• The timing chain was found intact with no detectable play.

• No foreign objects or other causes of engine seizure were found in the cylinders.

• A large amount of metal filings was found in the engine oil.

• The oil filter was full of metal residues.

• The workshop's assessment is that the engine's lower end has seized due to a lubrication failure and the engine is stuck.

• Due to the extent of the damage the workshop recommends replacing the engine. The lubrication failure may also have damaged other oil-lubricated components, such as the turbo, high‑pressure fuel pump and vacuum pump.

The engine has not been dismantled beyond this point.
