There is a lot to do, so starting with the positives:
MOT valid until 12/2026. In principle this could be made into a decent camper or similar. On the motorway the van is still reasonably drivable.

and now to the bad news:
Faults:
Engine: so‑called blow‑by, pressure being forced out of the oil filler cap.
Injectors: "Injector 1 Blocked" message appears intermittently on an OBD reader.
EGR valve faults on the OBD reader (despite being replaced; likely related to exhaust gases going to the wrong place).
One diesel injector (injector no. 2 if counted from the crank pulley) was replaced at a service a few months ago. Unknown whether it was correctly coded into the system.
One glow plug broken (no. 4), replaced with a bolt or similar.
It uses/loses some oil; oil has been topped up twice since January and the van has been driven about 5,000 km in that time. This week about 1.5 L was added.
It wouldn't be a Ford if it didn't leak oil: it seeps oil from several places, though it does not form a puddle at idle/when parked.
If I recall correctly the MOT inspector recommended replacing the oil sump because of visible rust. Last MOT was passed after an engine wash before inspection.
So the engine is forcing pressure where it shouldn't, and this seems to cause most of the problems. It may be an easy fix, or it may not.
Possible causes (from general searches) include failed copper injector seals, a seized piston ring, worn piston, or a cracked cylinder or cylinder head. Who knows. This is not a job for Biltema tools in the housing‑company yard; it requires some skill and understanding.
The lack of recent investment in servicing shows in, for example, the number of cable ties:
Clips between the diesel injectors and fuel feed have been repaired with cable ties, and some hose clamps have also been replaced with zip ties.
At least one coolant hose is secured with duct tape.
The coolant is too watery and is dark in colour; some additive has been used that has greyed the fluid.
All fluids and the oil filter should probably be changed.
The ABS ring (the toothed ring) on the left‑rear is loose and split, ABS/traction control warning lamp is lit on the dash.
The starter sometimes struggles to turn the engine; the contacts are visibly dirty and might work better if cleaned.
The gearshift bearing/assembly is worn: reverse sometimes disengages, and 1st & 3rd gears need some fiddling. With determined use the gears do engage.
The van starts poorly and struggles to stay running. Emits a grey cloud on cold start.
Small vibration and knocking are present and, if not addressed, are likely to lead to further failure.
Not suitable for daily use, but it is still used weekly for work out of necessity.
Rust: everywhere. The underside was, however, extensively repaired last year.
Dents: everywhere, and there is a small dent in the rear door not visible in the photos taken on 25/06/2026.
Paintwork appears to have been done by an amateur in different colours (some may be described as white) in several places. The overhead cab panel has filler applied.
Right‑hand skirt: a hole in the paint at the rear has been patched with something other than welding; the inspector hasn't mentioned it yet. It has been present for several years.
I don't expect huge interest and I'm not keen to answer lots of viewing calls, so here's a one‑off opportunity to amuse yourself:

I've had the van since about 2021 or 2022.
Central locking does not work properly: the rear area can be locked but the remote doesn't work and there is no remote key. The side door has a mechanical internal lock that sticks occasionally. The door is from an older Transit model (mk6).
An Eberspächer (or similar) heater was fitted on import but will not start. The heater control/display is broken/cracked in the cab.
The van has been driven gently, so it has faults. This is not a new vehicle — expect hidden defects.
Please do not shout if you haven't come to view it; I don't have the patience or time for theatrical "I didn't know it wasn't perfect" complaints.
No service booklet.
One set of studless winter tyres (Snowlink or similar) still legal (front pair replaced in 2025 season).
Interior worn: seat torn, interior plastics broken, adjustments broken — unclear if seat height can be adjusted. Driver's seat likely from an older model (mk6).
Driver's seat belt: worn.
Cargo area plastic and wooden parts broken, trim missing, screw holes etc. Floor worn.
As with many Fords, the factory locking system is unreliable. The driver's door could probably be opened with a screwdriver.
Sold without the visible tools in the load area. The grey/red storage cabinets can be left in the van by agreement.

Electric windows & heated mirrors (right mirror replaced used — may or may not heat)
