So why is such a neat and nice Mercedes‑Benz at auction? Because it currently will not start. The battery is very weak — essentially flat — and at MINIMUM needs a NEW BATTERY to even operate. It has been given jump-start assistance but would not start. When attempting to start there is a clicking noise, but the starter does not crank the engine at all, so you don’t even hear it turning over. According to the previous owner the car has been standing unused for some time and now will not start. It arrived to us in part‑exchange and we have not inspected it in detail or carried out a technical condition check. Viewings are allowed and recommended — you SHOULD inspect the car BEFORE placing a binding bid. Besides the battery, other parts may need replacing to make the car operational again. Take this into account when making your offer. The car must be collected by trailer or recovery truck, as it IS NOT ROADWORTHY now since it will not start. Therefore it is sold strictly for repair or for parts. Please note this when bidding.

The car looks good, so we recommend repairing it to driving condition to enjoy the fine ride this Mercedes could still offer. Included are last winter’s Nokian studded tyres in good condition on the original Mercedes alloy wheels. See photos.
