BMW 320, 2008, Kurikka

Negatives:

• The oil pressure warning flashes at idle; I have driven the car and it has worked normally. At junctions and traffic lights I have always raised the revs slightly above 1,000 rpm where the oil light goes out. Oil pressures measured: at idle 0.5 bar; when revving the bars rise. 1,000 rpm 0.8 bar, 1,500 rpm 1.5 bar, 2,000 rpm 2.0 bar, 2,500 rpm 2.5 bar, 3,000 rpm 3.0 bar, 3,500 rpm (rev limiter) 3.5 bar. So the screen/strainer is clogged or the oil pump is faulty.

• One rear light is out and did not light after bulb change.

• There is an issue with glow plugs, the reader reports an error.

• The towbar does not lock into place.

Positives:

• Engine does not knock or make extra noises.

• Car is nice to drive and economical.

• Suspension kit available and fitted.

• Alcantara sport interior.

• Ground Zero speakers and tweeters in the front doors.

• 63.5 mm pipe after the DPF with a single silencer.

• Rear locks well (limited-slip behaviour).

• Short shifter (original gearknob included).

• Oil and filter changed. No metal particles in the filter.

• RVS treatment used on the engine.

• Air filters

• filter housing and mass air flow sensor included

• Oil sump gasket and a strainer/suction pipe included. BMW parts ordered.

According to the previous owner the engine was replaced and has been driven about 220,000 km and the timing chain changed; however the only documentation is a service book from another car. So the shell is 320d but has an 18d engine swapped in.

There should be a remap somewhere among the service notes and other papers claiming over 200 hp.

Launch control present and set to 2,500 rpm.

The body has done 480,000 km but shows little corrosion; a few parking dents and the passenger-side sill is slightly peeling.

The pictured M-Sport wheels are not included in the sale; the car will be sold on the wheels shown in the last photo.

Can deliver the car to Seinäjoki.
