The device's principle of operation is simple: once the felling direction is chosen and the required felling notch is cut, the wedge is pushed into the saw gap and the trigger is pressed. The threaded rod, driven by the cordless tool, pushes the wedge that moves between stainless steel lamellae forward, opening the saw gap and causing the tree to fall in the chosen direction.

The mechanical felling director produces the force needed to fell trees exactly in the intended direction easily and without straining the cutter. The safety distance should be twice the length of the tree being felled. A single 4 Ah battery can fell dozens of trees.
