Just passed its MOT — V40 sold as driven.


2 keys: remote works on one, the other has a flat battery.

Two sets of tyres; studs renewed late last year.


For the MOT new rear brakes were fitted, floor welded and a hole in the sill repaired, passenger-side rear spring replaced. The driver-side spring will probably need replacing soon.


Oils and filters changed approx. 2,000 km ago.

Battery replaced last winter.

A few small stone chips in the windscreen, not in the driver’s view.


Occasionally the engine warning light comes on — likely the MAF (mass air flow) sensor. When it lights the car may jerk and lose power; the light then goes out by itself.

Sometimes the ABS light also flashes; this too goes out by itself. The sensor has not been examined, there is no effect on the brakes, and the MOT contains no note about this.

Age-related cosmetic blemishes to the bodywork are visible in the photos, but overall the car is fairly tidy.

Rear seats have integrated 'boosters'.

The load area also has a retractable 'cover' — not shown in the pictures.
