Well-served Volvo from daily use. I have driven about 50,000 km myself. The mileage isn't excessive for a car of this kind and the bodywork is fairly tidy. Naturally there are signs of use for a vehicle of this age and the interior needs cleaning if you want it in good condition. The worst marks are shown in the photos.


Serviced as needed. Windscreen replaced last summer. Linglong studded tyres 205/55 R16, lightly used last winter.

Auxiliary heater worked at least last winter.

Defects and other observations

  • The car is over 20 years old and has nearly half a million kilometres on the clock, so faults will certainly be found if you start looking. Below are the faults I have noticed.

  • Goes into limp/fault mode under hard acceleration. Likely the turbo vanes are sticking. If you wish you can remove the turbo yourself from the included parts car.

  • Air conditioning needs recharging. No longer blows properly cold air. Compressor replaced Dec 2024.

  • Parking sensors do not work.

  • There is sometimes a knock from the rear in potholes. Most likely worn dog-bones / anti-roll bar bushings.

  • I don't know if it's a fault or a characteristic, but the 4th–5th gear change has always been a bit “stretchy” during my ownership.
