Volkswagen Golf, 2017, Lahti

For sale: a very well-maintained, age-appropriate seventh-generation estate Golf that has been my daily driver for mixed city, motorway and commute use. Now that my commute has shortened I no longer need a diesel car, so this stylish, modern diesel can go to a third owner — without losing its useful equipment; unnecessary fragile extras have been omitted. Sturdy 6-speed manual gearbox (no DSG issues), no AdBlue system, no fragile superfluous assistance systems. No problematic Haldex 4WD; handles winters well with quality winter tyres. Adaptive cruise control and a Webasto for comfort. The car has been more than just transport to me, which shows from its condition.

The car is a 2017 Golf 2.0 TDI, 6-speed manual, front-wheel drive. One of the last without AdBlue. Serviced from new every 15,000 km and never on long-life 30,000 km intervals. Carefully maintained by the first owner and myself, so it has not been oil-hungry. Timing components intact. Turbo, diesel particulate filter and flywheel are original. At about 90,000 km, under warranty, a new clutch slave cylinder and clutch kit including pressure plate and release bearing were fitted. Engine oil and filter always changed at least every 15,000 km; during my ownership sometimes every 10,000 km. Full history available. I am the second owner; the car was bought new from Seinäjoen Käyttöauto in 2017. I bought it in September 2024 — the first owner had it for just over seven years. Since then it has been my daily driver.

The car was treated with Finikor full rust protection when relatively new. It has a Ceramic Pro 9H ceramic coating and the documents are available. Coating maintenance was carried out in 2024 at an authorised Ceramic Pro workshop and it still repels water and dirt well — easy to keep clean.

Very sensible equipment: the factory Webasto is not present, but an Eberspächer auxiliary heater was fitted by the previous owner in October 2022. Remote start/scheduling and GPS tracking via the ThermoConnect mobile app, and a start button under the steering wheel. So there is no physical remote, but you can start the heater remotely even from 500 km away.

At the front: X-Vision Genesis 600 controlled via CAN bus. Relay located in the engine bay relay block.

Summer tyres are good Yokohama BluEarth ES32, 235/40R18 on Audi Rotor replica alloy wheels. Two front tyres replaced completely new on 30 Mar 2026; rear tyres have 5 6 mm tread.

Winter tyres on original VW wheels, powder-coated black by the previous owner; paint cracks in places but still in reasonable condition. 205/60R16 Nokian Hakkapeliitta 9, approx. 5 6 mm tread. Stored in dark, cool conditions during summer so they did not harden.

The car has just had a full service with all filters and timing front + water pump at a main dealer. All service receipts are visible in the photos.

The car is almost 10 years old, so naturally there are some issues to note — not just praise.

- The driver's seatbelt does not always retract perfectly but this was not raised at the MOT; passed with clean paperwork in January 2026.

- The windscreen has stone chips and is slightly scratched/worn; this is most noticeable in bright sunlight, otherwise visibility is fine.

- A very small scratch on the right rear bumper where a gate hit it and took some paint; barely visible on the grey car and easily tidied.

- If you look closely there is beginning rust at the rear wheel arches, but it could be attended to neatly.

Equipment includes, among others:

adaptive cruise control, emergency braking assist, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic climate control, Webasto, heated steering wheel, cooled glovebox, xenon headlights, seat heaters in both front seats, electrically folding towbar, hill hold (Auto Hold), keyless access and start, heated and electrically folding + adjustable exterior mirrors. Defa block heater and interior heater and a CTEK maintenance charger for the 12V battery.
