Observed at the workshop:

Notes: - Particulate filter partially removed at the front to connect a pressure gauge in place of the oil pressure sensor.

- A manual oil pressure gauge was connected and the engine warmed up.

- Oil pressure drops below the manufacturer's reference values as the oil warms up.

- Trip computer indicates there is sufficient oil in the engine.

- Engine leaks oil between the valve cover and cylinder head and from the oil drain plug. Oil pressures measured.

- Reference values: - Idle min 0.8 bar,

- 2000 rpm min 1.4 bar. With a cold engine the oil pressure stays within the manufacturer's reference values. As the engine warms up the oil pressure drops significantly. Warm:

- Idle approx. 0.6 bar, - 2000 rpm 1.0 bar,
