Mazda taken directly from a trade-in to the auction — needs repair and has high mileage. An aftermarket LPG (gas) system has been fitted; it is normally also possible to run on petrol only. There is a suspicion that the LPG system is causing the engine warning light; spark plugs were replaced earlier this year. We have not investigated the fault ourselves.

The MOT expired in January; the car was taken by us for inspection and failed due to the engine warning light and a broken spring. With a small repair it will be roadworthy again.

There is a receipt for the LPG installation for €3,700, with a photo of the receipt. A user manual for the system is also included.

During a short test drive we observed:

  • The engine warning light is on

  • Technically otherwise normal — the car can be driven and the gearbox works normally

  • Brakes and suspension work well

  • The air conditioning needs refrigerant; the fan works but it does not cool

  • Both sets of tyres are in good condition

  • The gas system cost €3,700 in 2022

  • The car does not have a valid MOT; see the fault list picture
