The barrel is made of polyethylene and is completely seamless, very easy to keep clean and easy to use.

The complete delivery includes a sturdy snow-load resistant plastic cover with lifting handle, a large approx. 35 kW marine-aluminium stove, a drain tap and outlet pipe. The barrel is insulated. The base contains 45 cm of Styrox fill — so this pool will not suffer from frost. The outer shell is domestic thermally treated pine (Lunawood). The pool package is 100% Finnish workmanship.

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's Classic Hot Tub is manufactured in Finland down to every last particle. We are very proud of our production line and have been making the Classic Hot Tub model for years with the same reliable method. The rim panels arrive at the factory as long stock. They are cut to length and made into an element that houses the pre-glued insulating base from Sastamala made by Jackon and the maintenance-free PE plastic shell moulded by Oulu-based Pipelif. Our skilled production specialists drill the drain hole in the base, the heater holes in the side and fit the hoses. Finally the package is carefully tipped on its side to fit the outlet pipe.

The Classic Hot Tub is delivered freight-free to its new happy owner, who needs only a water hose, firewood and fire-making tools. The new owner should ensure the hot tub is installed level so the water settles evenly. Installation instructions are included, but in practice the owner simply secures the heater to the level base with hose clamps, tightens the heater's drain valve and off you go — time for a bath.

Improved seating comfort in the rotationally moulded shell – also for taller bathers

The maintenance-free, rotationally moulded PE shell comes almost from next door, from Oulu-based Pipelif. At their factory the plastic granules are placed into a mould which is rotated in an oven for an hour. After cooling the shell is ready to be moved to Hyvän Kaupan Paikka's production line.

We have paid special attention to seating comfort in the design. The sides are not vertical, leaving a wedge-shaped insulating air gap between the shell and the rim panels that supports the bather's back better. Our rims are generally higher than other manufacturers', so taller bathers' shoulders sink below the steaming water surface and the necks stay warm. Seat comfort is top-class and legs don't get cramped as the bench is not too low despite the overall height.

Super-efficient marine-aluminium stove

The marine-aluminium stoves in our hot tub packages are manufactured in Finland. The powerful 35 kW stove handles even seawater — it works with both fresh and marine water. Carefully chosen materials make the stove a top product. Marine aluminium conducts heat very well, the stove's front plate is stainless steel and the glass door lets you check the fire without opening it. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a flue guard or spark arrestor, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium because chlorine oxidises marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water regularly and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories). Active oxygen sanitises the water for approximately 24 hours, after which the water can be used for watering as it contains no added chemicals and is safer for children. Non-sanitised water can easily form a slippery film on the pool edges, but active oxygen prevents this.

Easy low-effort maintenance

The Classic Hot Tub won't suffer a frozen bottom even in frosty ground. The 45 cm Styrox insulation in the base prevents cold reaching the bottom and helps keep the water warmer. A plastic cover is included, which significantly reduces heat loss. A well-heated hot tub can be reheated the next morning with just one load of wood.

Warmth also comes from Lunawood's thermally treated pine panels, which complete the look as rim material. You don't have to treat the pine; the surface will weather to a beautiful grey over years. If you prefer to keep the brown tone, apply a wood oil once a year. The plastic shell is maintenance-free too: with no moulded seams dirt has nowhere special to collect. Remember to clean the shell surfaces when changing the water — easy with normal household cleaners. Careful users may occasionally disinfect the shell, but remember to dispose of wastewater correctly.
