The car has been a spare second car and is now up for sale.


The dash shows a battery warning about low voltage, so a new battery and alternator were fitted. After closer inspection the fault was traced to the instrument cluster, so it is not a real battery fault. In wet winter conditions the ABS and traction-control lights have also illuminated on the dash; these were cleared with a code reader but returned after hitting a speed bump. After changing to the summer tyres the interior noise sounds louder than usual — poor tyres?


On cold starts, after the starter you need to apply a little throttle for a few seconds, otherwise the revs drop too low and the engine may stall. This happens only when cold. The exterior panels are beginning to show small spots of rust here and there, as is to be expected for a car of this age.


Some positives: the engine starts well and idles smoothly once running. It drives straight and is lively. In addition to the battery and alternator, this year the car has a new windscreen, new rear brake discs and all pads. New right rear brake caliper; the left was apparently renewed recently. New starter motor. Comes with two alloy wheels; summer tyres still drive well and the winter tyres are like new.
