Extremely elegant Citroën C6 2.7 V6 HDi executive car.

This model has traditionally served as the official car of the French president. Presidents Chirac, Sarkozy, Hollande and Macron have chosen this model.

New, the price was about €80,000, making it by far the most expensive Citroën available at the time. The interior feels very refined and the ride is exceptionally smooth — comparable to Mercedes‑Benz S‑Class cars with hydraulic suspension, which was originally inspired by Citroën.

On the road the car draws positive attention with its elegant design even from people who are not car enthusiasts. It pleasantly stands out from the ordinary. At launch this model even won the "Most Beautiful Car in the World" award. A likely near‑future young‑timer classic.

Just inspected — Citroën C6 with inspection cleared. Car imported from Germany in November 2022, to us in early January 2023 with an odometer reading of 234,850 km; driven in daily use for a further 44,650 km since then. Serviced and repaired as needed. Most recent service by our company on 30 March 2025 at 268,730 km, after which 5 glow plugs were replaced in the autumn (no separate note in the service book). According to the service book the timing belt was replaced in Germany in 2017 at 172,000 km — the service interval is 160,000 km, so there was no reason to doubt the change was made; the next timing belt job would be due at approx. 332,000 km. Service interval 25,000 km — the service interval meter shows service due in 19,100 km; annual service / oil change due. In our ownership oils and filter have been changed approximately every 12,500 km.

Notes:

The radiator seeps slightly from the upper edge; system pressures remain stable and coolant has needed only a small top‑up about once a year. This has been the case from the start — no sealants or repair compounds have been added to the system. A new radiator and a batch of spare parts related to the car are included for the new owner (see the last two photos).

Because the car has zone climate control, occasionally the water temperature valve or its actuator sticks, causing one front side to blow warmer air than set. This usually corrects by setting temperature to LO or switching the automatic climate control to manual and readjusting.

The car is fully functional and ready to use immediately - sale condition: the car is sold as requiring repairs in all respects, since a nearly 20‑year‑old car with almost 300,000 km is no longer new; buyers should note this. Prospective buyers are given the opportunity to inspect the vehicle before making a binding bid.

Attachments include an English brochure for the Citroën C6 which lists equipment — note also that the rear seats fold 1/3 and 2/3 for extra cargo space.

Option to purchase separately the used C6 wheel set shown in the photos for €350.00 (margin VAT), without tyres.

The car is used daily, so the odometer shown in the photos is indicative only.
