The device's operating principle is simple: once the desired falling direction is chosen and the required felling notch has been made in the tree, the wedge is inserted into the saw cut and the trigger is pressed. The threaded rod driven by the cordless tool pushes the wedge forward between the stainless steel lamellae, opening the saw cut and causing the tree to fall in the chosen direction.

The mechanical felling director generates the force to fell trees accurately in the desired direction with ease and without tiring the faller. The safety distance should be twice the length of the tree to be felled. A single 4 Ah battery can be used to fell dozens of trees.
