Solifer 520 S3 caravan, 2002, gross weight 1,200 kg, Janakkala

Basic, tidy Solifer for the next caravanner. Overall condition matches its age except for the lower part of the rear wall where there appears to have been a collision in 2018; the damage was recorded as removed in Trafi records. It was returned to the road after a registration inspection in 2019. Repair marks are still visible on the skin, but it has served its users well since. At the front is a U-shaped seating area that converts into a double bed for two. In the middle are the kitchen and bathroom facilities. At the rear is a transverse full-width sofa that converts into a double bed. The overhead lockers can be made into one extra bed (80 kg weight limit), but mattresses for this bed are not included. In principle there are sleeping places for up to five people. The caravan has just been inspected.

Not all equipment and functions have been checked, so faults and deficiencies may be present

Known to be:

• The hob works on gas

• The fridge works on mains power

• The Alde heater starts on gas and on electricity

• Water systems are in working order

• Battery is in place and charges to 13.8 volts

Issues:

• Repair marks from an old collision visible on the rear wall

• Alde heater has leaked fluid

• Fridge does not always ignite on gas (ignition spark missing intermittently)

• Gas hose is old

• Moisture measurement anomaly in the floor in front of the left front wheel and in the right front corner of the floor (may be Alde fluid?)

• Used caravan over 20 years old, so there are signs of use and wear, but generally tidy for its age
