Repair item: Battery charger Hawker Pulsar (80 V)

Description: High‑power quality charger sold for repair. The charger starts and reduces current at the start of charging (drops from approx. 180 A to approx. 110 A), but cannot reduce current further in the final stage.

Known faults:

• Faulty upper contactor: The contact has welded shut (stuck in the closed position; see image 006). Because of this the charge "sticks" at approx. 110 A and does not drop to maintenance charge, which can cause the battery to boil unless charging is manually stopped.

• Error code F6: Indicates a fault in the air pump (Pulsar Air). The faulty pump has been removed from the unit, which causes the error code. The function can be easily disabled from the menu once the defective contactor has been replaced.

Required actions: Requires replacement of the upper contactor and disabling of the air‑pump function via software.
