Volvo S80, 2008, Rovaniemi

A somewhat rarer Volvo S80 for a new owner, in original condition.

The car is well equipped. This year the thermostat was replaced and a four-wheel-drive service was carried out — the 4WD pump, oils and filter were replaced (receipts in the pictures).

Engine replaced last year; before installation the following were renewed:

Timing kit incl. water pump

Valve cover gasket

Engine oil + filter

Coolant change

Gearbox oils

Front and rear crankshaft seals

Exhaust flange work + sealing

Winter tyres

Transfer/auxiliary gearbox oils

Exhaust manifold gasket

Turbo oil line seals

Turbo coolant pipe seals

Turbo return line re-fabrication

Turbo turbine bolts to the drive plate

Equipment
- Webasto heater
- Four-wheel drive
- Keyless Go — detects the key when you are near so the doors unlock, and recognises when you are inside so you can start the car with the key in your pocket.
- Glass sunroof that opens to two positions
- Ventilated, massaging front seats with seat heaters and electric adjustments
- Heated rear seats
- Original Volvo rear-seat screens with headphone AUX input
- Original AUX input in the centre console for improved audio
- Optional audio package with speakers around the cabin
- Original built-in Volvo GPS that rises from the dash
- Parking sensors (require servicing) but work without issues
- Rear centre console for rear-seat adjustments and screen controls, plus a cigarette lighter (e.g. to charge a phone)
- Compass in the driver's rear‑view mirror showing the car's heading
- Original Volvo walnut steering wheel with all adjustments (I have not seen such a walnut wheel in a car this new before.)
- Cream-white leather interior
- Electric windows
- Phone can be connected to the car for making/receiving calls

- Two sets of tyres; winter tyres purchased this year. Winter wheels are nearly immaculate; summer tyres/wheels are in poorer condition, barely road legal.

The car currently displays service warnings for parking sensors (they still work) and for the Four‑C system, but this has not affected driving — the Sport, Comfort and Advanced modes normally operate. A headlamp required some odd work but appears to function normally; some error codes might clear by resetting.
