The device's operating principle is simple: once the chosen felling direction is decided and the required felling notch has been cut in the tree, the wedge is inserted into the saw gap and the trigger is pressed so that the threaded rod rotated by the cordless tool pushes the wedge forward between the stainless steel lamellae, opening the saw gap and causing the tree to fall in the desired direction.

The mechanical felling director produces the force needed to fell trees precisely in the desired direction easily and without straining the faller. The safety distance must be twice the length of the tree being felled. A single 4 Ah battery can be used to fell dozens of trees.
