Up for auction is a legendary 1990s Audi A4 1.8 saloon, manual, model year 1999 with a 1999 inspection sticker! The car recently had brake pipes and hoses, springs, fuel filter and brake-fluid reservoir replaced, among other items — roughly €2,000 worth — so those parts should be in order. :) If restored cosmetically it could qualify for museum plates in three years. Both front wings have taken some rust, worse on the passenger side; a new wing is about €60–70 plus painting. Otherwise mainly paint defects and some rust starting on the lower edges of the rear and front passenger doors. Inside the car is sound and tidy for its age, mainly needs seat cleaning if you want it nicer. Driven by an older gentleman in recent years and not used much lately — about 10,000 km driven in the last 9 years. The car runs fine: the engine runs smoothly, the clutch holds well, gears engage properly and it seems mechanically sound; no warning lights on the dash.

On a short test drive we noted the following:
- Moves forward and backward
- Clutch works well and the engine pulls normally.

- 1-year MOT! Good summer tyres and winter tyres in acceptable condition since the car passed inspection with them. Both tyre sets are on alloy wheels. :)
