Lynx Rave RE 600 E-Tec 3300, 2012, Rovaniemi

• The snowmobile once triggered an engine warning light in severe cold after having been in a water ditch early in the season. At the time there may have been a little water in the fuel system, as it did not run completely normally in very low temperatures. When the engine warmed up and the snowmobile was switched off, the warning light went out, and there have been no problems since. The light has not come on in the last month. The fact that no major investigation was carried out likely shows the limited extent and impact on riding.

• A belt was ruined in severe cold; the clutches were cleaned/adjusted/inspected by a professional. No issues since, and the fitted belt has a few hundred kilometres on it.

• There is a crack in the plastic of one handguard. It stays in place and has not caused problems.

• D.E.S.S. sometimes reports no connection when starting. Turning the key a millimetre or so fixes it. It has never happened while riding and is fairly common on machines of this age/mileage.

• Small scratch on the instrument cluster.

• Normal wear and tear due to age and mileage.

• The spare variator belt shown in the picture is in very poor / partly broken condition. Can be included if wanted.

• The homemade tow hitch shown in the picture is not included in the sale.

• The mudguard is partially broken and secured with a zip tie on one side. It has been done neatly, so it may not be obvious in the photos. It lasted the whole winter.

• There are surely some minor faults not mentioned, but they do not affect the value of the machine.

And then the most important paragraph every bidder must understand:

• As one car dealer put it: "With a machine of this age/mileage/price, every kilometre is a gift."

• This is a sale of a snowmobile well over 10 years old and just under 14,000 km ridden.

• The buyer is obliged to inspect and, if appropriate, test-ride the machine. If a buyer offers without seeing/trying it, that is their choice.
