Defects and other observations

Before placing the car for sale we carried out a test drive and condition assessment, during which we made the following observations:

  • The car is at the workshop, not roadworthy, collection by recovery truck.
    Faults diagnosed:
    - Timing chain, sprockets and oil strainer at least are broken.
    - Thermostat replaced. System bled, G11 blue fluid approx. 3 L added. It blows warm air into the cabin, hoses OK and fluid level OK but the temperature gauge shows just under halfway. In steady driving the temperature fluctuates between 73–92 °C.

    Oil smells slightly of fuel and the filter has been removed; there is metal in the filter. The running noise is slightly rough.
    The driver’s door does not stay shut when cold.
