Ultrasonic cleaners are an ecological cleaning system.

The cleaning effect of an ultrasonic cleaner is produced by transmitting waves (invisible to the human eye) through the cleaning liquid. This creates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) which then collapse under the same sound waves. The penetration of the microbubbles causes local, rapid pressure changes that detach dirt particles (grease, other contaminants) from the surface of the item. With this method you can effectively clean all surfaces submerged in the cleaner without scrubbing or wiping the dirt.

When used with a suitable solution, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of items.
