Ultrasonic cleaners are ecological cleaning systems. 

The cleaning effect of an ultrasonic cleaner is produced by transmitting waves (invisible to the human eye) through the cleaning liquid. This creates thousands of tiny cavitation centres (microbubbles) that then collapse under the same sound waves. The microbubbles' action causes rapid, local pressure changes that remove dirt particles (oils, other contaminants) from the surface of the item. This method lets you clean all surfaces immersed in the tank effectively without scrubbing or wiping. 

When used with a suitable cleaning fluid, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of items.
