Defects and other observations

  • The coolant warning light and the 'stop engine' light are illuminated. The coolant level is OK. The cooling fan runs at full speed when the car is started. Further clarification from the previous owner: 'About a month ago this fault appeared because the coolant was leaking. The water pump was leaking; it was replaced and the coolant stayed in the engine. However, that did not fix the fan fault. The temperature sensor was replaced, but the fan fault persisted. Last week a fault code was read and it suggested a fuse blows because one of the wires is broken. This may cause an incorrect engine temperature reading, which switches the fan on.'

  • A test drive of about 5 minutes was done; based on that no urgent repairs were noticed apart from the above.


The car has not undergone a technical condition inspection and not all features have been tested for functionality.
