Volvo V50. Registered as a commercial van, so very low tax (approx. €230/year). Rear seats included if you want to convert it back to a passenger car (reclassification inspection approx. €50). Cheap to run at current fuel prices. Before the inspection one injector was replaced, and the turbo and diesel particulate filter were renewed because the turbo had become oily due to a fault. Engine oil and filter changed. Drives nicely. Left drive shaft and gearbox oil and filter replaced at the same time because it was vibrating (a known issue on these). In daily use. In cold weather it may take several attempts to start. It will run even in severe cold but not immediately. It starts from the garage in first gear. In cold conditions at speeds under 40 km/h it occasionally raises/lowers the revs by about 100 rpm while driving. Driver's seat heater does not work.
