7-seater Corolla Verso with ski box for auction, MOT valid until August 2026!

Daily-driven Corolla Verso that came to us. The car shows age-related wear and some small dents here and there. The rear bumper is slightly split, see pictures. The engine runs very smoothly. The service book is unfortunately not present, but the car was serviced at Rinta-Jouppi from new until 2017 (electronic service records attached); after that the previous owner, a mechanic we know, has changed the oil annually. Interior generally in tidy condition. The driver's armrest fabric is torn, and the window lock button does not stay down (the button itself works). The car comes with a Stinger ski box. The ski box has two small locks whose keys are not available.

However, because life isn’t always roses even with a Toyota (although mostly it is!), this car has a minor gearbox issue. When the selector is placed in D/E the transmission drops to neutral (N) and the car starts beeping. Reverse works normally. Manual gears work if you switch the selector quickly from E through to manual. So the car drives in manual mode. This fault was diagnosed at a workshop, where they said the gear selector should be replaced to make the gearbox operate normally. The engine warning light also appears occasionally, but it does not affect driving.

Otherwise the car drives well and no other faults were found during the test drive.

Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we observed the following:

  • Minor gearbox fault: when placed in D/E the transmission drops to neutral (N) and the car starts beeping. Reverse works normally. Manual gears work if the selector is switched quickly from E to manual.

  • The window lock button does not stay down, although the button itself functions.

  • Otherwise the engine runs smoothly and the car drives well.
