⚠️ Diesel heater safety instructions

The combustion process of a diesel heater consumes oxygen and produces dangerous exhaust gases. Incorrect installation can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning or fire.

1. Exhaust gas routing (Main rule)

• Exhaust outdoors only: Exhaust gases must be ducted completely outdoors with a metal exhaust pipe outside the building, tent or vehicle.

• Sealing: Ensure the exhaust pipe connection to the heater body is sealed with the supplied clamp. Even a small leak into the interior can be fatal.

• CO alarm: Always install a quality carbon monoxide alarm in the space. It is cheap life insurance.

  
  

2. Exhaust temperature and insulation

The exhaust pipe reaches very high temperatures during use.

• Max temperature: Diesel heater exhaust gas temperature at the outlet can reach up to 250–450 °C depending on power. The metal pipe itself can glow hot.

• Penetrations: If the exhaust pipe passes through a wall or floor, use fireproof insulation material (e.g. rock wool or a separate metal penetration sleeve). The pipe must not touch wood, plastic or other combustible materials directly.

• Clearance: Keep the exhaust pipe at least 10 cm away from any melting or combustible materials along its entire length.

  
  

3. Combustion air and heated air

• Separate air intakes: Ensure the heater's exhaust pipe is not near the unit's combustion air intake or the interior air inlet. Otherwise the unit may draw its own exhaust back in.

  
  

4. Fuel handling

• Place the fuel tank so that in the event of a leak diesel cannot run onto a hot exhaust pipe.
