Defects and other observations

During the test drive we made the following observations

  • There is a rattle at the front. The 4x4 works and locks well, but when engaged there is an occasional slight clunk.

  • The instrument cluster shows ~200,000 km less than the true mileage; the cluster was replaced at some point due to a fault. True mileage approx. 430,000 km.

  • It leaks a fairly large amount of oil; not investigated further, but possibly the turbo is leaking. Feels less responsive than normal. In very cold weather it was hard to start — glow plugs?

  • Otherwise, based on a short drive, it is in reasonably acceptable condition.


The vehicle has been test-driven by us and fluid levels have been checked. The vehicle has not been subject to our technical inspection and not all equipment functionality has been tested.
