Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:


- The Webasto is an aftermarket unit, operated from the control panel to the left of the steering wheel. It heats the engine. This Webasto is faulty: the combustion-air burner stays on, makes a buzzing noise and the flame does not ignite.

The remote control operates the boot heater blower which works correctly.


According to the previous owner the DPF light comes on very often.

Error codes present for the EGR valve, and refrigerant shortage; the EGR valve may cause the DPF light to illuminate.

According to the previous owner it uses oil and the oil filler cap is white. It vents somewhat from the dipstick and the oil level is at the minimum even though serviced about 1,000 km ago.


An emissions test was carried out and is OK!


The engine Webasto continues to run and drain the battery even when switched off; the wiring has been disconnected.

The customer has driven approximately 1,000 km after adding oil and the dipstick shows the lower limit.


- Additionally note that the vehicle's bulkhead has been moved rearwards, which means the vehicle is no longer a commercial van but classified as a passenger car.


The vehicle has not undergone a technical inspection, and not all equipment functionality has been tested. The vehicle can be inspected in more detail at our premises in Rovaniemi.
