⚠️ Diesel heater safety instructions

The diesel heater's combustion process consumes oxygen and produces hazardous exhaust gases. Incorrect installation can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning or fire.

1. Exhaust gas management (Most important rule)

• Outdoors only: Exhaust gases must be routed entirely outside the building, tent or vehicle using a metal exhaust pipe.

• Sealing: Ensure the exhaust pipe connection to the heater body is sealed with the supplied clamp. Even a small leak into the interior can be fatal.

• CO alarm: Always install a good-quality carbon monoxide alarm in the space. It is cheap life insurance.

  
  

2. Exhaust temperature and insulation

The exhaust pipe becomes extremely hot in use.

• Max temperature: Diesel heater exhaust temperatures at the outlet can rise to 250–450 °C depending on power. The metal pipe itself can glow hot.

• Pass-through: If the exhaust pipe passes through a wall or floor, use a non-combustible insulation (e.g. fire wool or a separate metal flange). The pipe must not touch wood, plastic or other combustible materials directly.

• Clearance: Keep the exhaust pipe at least 10 cm away from any melting or combustible materials along its entire length.

  
  

3. Combustion air and heated air

• Separate intakes: Ensure the heater's exhaust pipe is not near the unit's own combustion air intake or the heated space's air intake. Otherwise the unit can draw its own exhaust back in.

  
  

4. Fuel handling

• Position the fuel tank so that in the event of a leak diesel cannot run onto a hot exhaust pipe.
