Arrived to us straight from running, offered in part-exchange. The vehicle had a software tune when it arrived, which was removed during a service update; this caused warning lights to come on. The engine warning light most likely relates to the EGR after the programming was removed. Not investigated further.

The engine light, glow plug light, ABS light and traction-control fault light are on, and the dual-mass flywheel rattles fairly loudly.

Otherwise the car seems to function and, despite the warning lights and knocking, drives reasonably normally. However, it vibrates quite severely when braking and makes a rumbling noise.

The body has quite a lot of marks and surface rust — study the pictures carefully!

Pluses

  • Finnish car with full service book from the start

  • Timing head/belt done recently

  • Good winter tyres fitted — these are the only wheels for the car

  • Reasonable mileage for its age



Minuses

  • Lots of warning lights on the dash

  • Brakes vibrate a lot and make noise when braking

  • The dual-mass flywheel clatters quite loudly

  • Body has quite a lot of rust and wear

  • Windshield cracked
