the wiring harness replaced completely and numerous
other tests have been carried out.

The fault still persists in 4 cylinders.
All tests have now been completed and
the fault is, with high probability,
in the piston. A known issue with these engines is that
the piston can crack between the piston pin
and the oil ring. This does not
appear in a compression pressure test.

The PCV valve has also been replaced
because the crankcase ventilation did not work
as it should. The PCV valve is also
a known fault on this model.

The engine should be removed
and the head and pistons inspected.
