For sale: tidy-for-its-age V6 519 CDI Sprinter, "from the first owner" — I have used the van since new.


Serviced whenever needed or when something has gone wrong.


Service book and receipts for all repairs and services.


Interior has no screw holes or similar marks; no smoking and no animals transported.

Seat covers have been used from the start, now removed.


Low tax, about €140 per year.


Drivable with a C1 driving licence.

In January 2025 the original Eberspächer heater was replaced.


All drivetrain oils changed in August 2024; these are changed regularly.


Good summer tyres: Michelins with ~75% tread; winter tyres: Kumhos used for two winters and in good condition.


Besides the Eberspächer, a Calix internal unit heats the cab and rear compartment. The rear area also has good LED lights.


Used daily; for sale because I want a smaller van that fits in a parking garage and doesn’t fill the whole yard.

Defects and other observations

Negatives;

  • Windshield is damaged, but it still passed inspection.

  • Paint sanding and preparation in progress. Spot primer/touch-up needed in a couple of places and sanding finished. (Winter arrived)

  • A Kyb valve in the gearbox should be replaced — about €110 + new gearbox oil.

  • I haven't replaced it because it only shows minor symptoms in very cold temperatures: after starting with a cold torque converter, selecting D or R can stall the vehicle; a restart makes it run normally. Occurs only in very cold conditions with a cold gearbox.

  • Known Sprinter 722.6 gearbox type fault.

  • Glow plugs and the glow-plug relay should be serviced/replaced at some point.
