High-output, six-stage Adwasys RO370-UV reverse osmosis unit with UV sterilisation for purifying drinking water.

The Adwasys 370RO-UV cleans freshwater to drinking quality without chemicals. The efficient unit can produce up to 370 litres of clean water per day. The six-stage process removes up to 99.99% of impurities, viruses and bacteria. The package includes fittings, filters, a water tank and a drinking-water tap.

The reverse osmosis purification system is based on a series of pre- and post-filters and an RO membrane that only allows pure water molecules to pass. The final stage is a Phillips UV lamp that sterilises viruses and bacteria.

The unit has automatic flushing and is maintenance-free apart from filter changes and any long-term storage and recommissioning. The unit produces water into a pressurised 11-litre tank from which it is immediately available.

Six-stage purification process:

1. STAGE 1: Pre-filtration

• 5 µm polypropylene fine filter removes suspended solids such as pollen and fine sand

• Protects subsequent filters

2. STAGE 2: Activated carbon filtration (granular)

• Granular activated carbon effectively removes chlorine, taste and odour issues

3. STAGE 3: Activated carbon filtration (pressed type)

• 1 µm activated carbon filter polishes the water quality by enhancing the previous filters’ performance, removing heavy metals, humic substances and organic compounds

• Further removes taste and odour problems

4. STAGE 4: Reverse osmosis membrane

• 0.1 µm RO membrane cartridge (Vontron) 100 GPD (≈378 litres/day)

• The actual purification occurs by forcing water through the RO membrane

5. STAGE 5: Mineralisation

• In the final stage a mineral filter adjusts the water to neutral pH and refreshes the taste by adding small amounts of calcium and magnesium.

6. STAGE 6: UV sterilisation

• Removes all organic contaminants and ensures the water is safe to drink

A comprehensive spare filter set is available for the unit: Adwasys F370 replacement filter pack, and a replacement UV lamp bulb as a spare part.
