This is the sort of car an older driver can enjoy too ;)


Having been in Finnish traffic for 10 years already, originally imported used from Germany, this BMW is looking for a committed BMW-loving owner.


The car has an electronic service book and a few receipts are included (see photos).


Automatic climate control and cruise control make trips easier. There are separate wheel-and-tyre sets for winter and summer.

The central locking includes remote control and both keys work.

There is also an engine block heater (or hose/radiant type, whatever this model has), and a detachable towbar.

You can follow current consumption or longer period data via the trip computer.

Use the steering wheel controls to set what you want and the stalk for cruise control.

The electronic stability control works well too.

The seat heater also warms nicely.


The paintwork has been well looked after — you can tell. It shines like the famous ...



If we're being precise, there are of course some things to mention. Some wear is visible on the paint, interior and engine.

The pictures show the paint and interior, but the images don't clearly show the uneven idle, which keeps the engine fault light on the dash.


We cleared the fault codes which switched the engine warning light off and it stayed off during a roughly 10 km test drive, but it came back on after the car idled for a short time in the yard.

After that we did not clear it again. Some time ago both lambda sensors were replaced, so they are unlikely to be the cause — though a new one could be faulty.


The idle is a little rough, so something is wrong. We didn't investigate further or record any fault codes.


The car felt fine to drive until the idle started acting up again after idling for a while.


Someone will surely be able to sort this out and then the car will be ready for the road again.



The car was MOT'd in early December, so the inspection is valid until January 2027.



As a favourite among many young drivers this car will surely attract attention, and it's clear it looks the part.


Buy it as a gift for a youngster for good behaviour, or as a first car for a new driver.


Just make sure you shout about it and boast that you bought the mentioned vehicle.

Defects and other observations

On a short test drive we made the following observations

  • Nice-looking BMW to view. See the engine warning light note in the description above. Once that is fixed, this is a very pleasant car and could last a long time as the body and interior are in good condition.

  • brakes vibrate slightly

  • a small clonk can be heard from the front on uneven surfaces (possibly suspension links?)

  • Summer tyres are nearing the end of their life. Still legal for now.



    To my taste this is a relatively good example for an older BMW. (Subjective)





The car has not been subject to a technical inspection by us, and not all equipment functions have been tested. There may be hidden faults we did not detect on the test drive.
